Questions
What do I need?
Any projector, and a laptop or tablet connected to it (HDMI or casting). Open Canvas Tracer in your browser, set the projector to mirror your screen, and go fullscreen.
My projector can't be straight in front of the canvas. Will this work?
Yes — that's exactly what it's for. Put the projector wherever it fits. You drag four crosshairs onto your canvas's corners and the image is warped to match the canvas perfectly.
What happens if I move my projector or canvas between sessions?
Open the image, switch to Canvas corners, and drag the four crosshairs back onto your canvas corners. Your image keeps its exact position on the canvas, so your tracing lines up with what you already drew.
Are my images private?
Yes. Images are stored in private storage tied to your account and are only ever shown to you. We never share or sell your images or data.
Is there a free version?
No — Canvas Tracer is $5 per month or $24 per year, with everything included either way. The video above shows exactly how it works before you buy.
Monthly or yearly — can I switch?
Yes. Start with whichever suits you and switch anytime from your account page. Yearly works out to $2 a month.
How do renewals work?
Your membership renews automatically each month or year, depending on your plan. We email you before every renewal — 3 days ahead for monthly, 7 days ahead for yearly — and you can cancel anytime from your account page in two clicks.
What if I stop paying?
You keep access until the end of the month or year you’ve paid for. After that we hold your images for 90 days in case you come back, then delete them permanently (we'll email you first).
Can I get a refund?
If Canvas Tracer isn't right for you, email us within 14 days of being charged and we'll refund you in full.
